Comedian turning hero is not a new phenomenon in Tamil cinema. There are examples of Vadivelu, Vivek and more recently Santhanam to name a few. The latest one is Imman Annachi, the popular anchor-turned-comedian who will be playing the lead in a movie titled Kutti Pattalam.
Imman who started his career in filmdom with Ottha Veedu in a small comic role, became a busy artiste in a short span of time. His unique diction of Tamil and body language won him several offers. Kutti Pattalam directed by Ravi Thambi revolves around few children and Imman will be seen as a do-gooder for the kids. According to a source, there are 20 child artistes who play prominent roles in it.
