Harrison Ford has had a great year after making his long-awaited return to the franchise that made him famous, reprising his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
According to DailyMail, the 73-year-old Hollywood star couldn’t help but joke about his reasons for coming back to the sci-fi movie as he filmed his appearance on The Jonathan Ross show this week.
Jonathan asked him about the film, and whether he considered the anticipation of appearing in the film again, Harrison joked: ‘No Jonathan, I'm in it for the money.’
He continued, ‘I was just glad to be involved in it, I mean obviously Star Wars has been very, very good to me.’
‘It gave me a career that I have enjoyed and all the opportunities that have preceded from that attachment to Star Wars. so when George [Lucas] called and asked if I might be interested in coming back, I said, ‘Yes, why not?’
