Shekhar Ravjiani plays the love interest of 'Neerja' in the film.
Mumbai: Music composer Shekhar Ravjiani who is known for his soulful voice and hit music will be seen doing a special appearance in Ram Madhvani’s biopic on Neerja Bhanot. Shekhar is playing the love interest of Neerja in the film.The music composer was neck deep in work and missed the trailer launch of the film but the director at the starting of the event thanked him for agreeing to play that part.
Talking about how he convinced him to play the role he said, “Well other directors have approached Shekhar before with a lot of film offers but he has always refused. But when I and Atul approached him he agreed and I am so thankful to him that he agreed to be a part of the film.” To which Sonam Kapoor added, “Shekhar, hes’ so cute na?” Atul Kasbekar the producer of the film said, “Shekhar is a dear friend and it was not really difficult to convince him to play the role. I am glad he agreed.”
Shekhar Ravjiani is right now composing music for Aditya Chopra’s Befikre, Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan and A R Murugadoss’s Akira.
