Sudheeran wants Modi to Apologise

Mr Sudheeran said this was an insult to Sankar

Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for distorting the legacy of R. Sankar and saying that he had links with Jana Sangh. “Modi should apologise to Sankar’s family and the people of Kerala. By resorting to false propaganda, he has lowered the dignity of the prime minister's chair,” he said.

While unveiling the statue of R. Sankar in Kollam, Mr Modi had said that Sankar had connection with Jana Sangh. Mr Sudheeran said this was an insult to Sankar. Modi and the central BJP leadership had excluded the chief minister from the function, he added.

“The BJP would not have played the game if the CM was on the dais. SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan had taken a quotation for the BJP for organising such events,” said Mr Sudheeran.

He alleged that Mr Modi along with BJP national president Amit Shah would try any means to gain political mileage. Referring to the case against Mr Vellapally, he said law is applicable to him and that and it would take its own course. “All are equal before law,” he added.
