PM never got Telangana invite: BJP

TRS govt headed by KCR had never invited Narendra Modi to any function.
Hyderabad: TS BJP core committee leaders who called on party national president Amit Shah and Union ministers Rajnath Singh and M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday told the media that the TRS government headed by K. Chandrasekhar Rao had never invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to any function during the last 18 months. After ascertaining the facts from Home minister Rajnath Singh, the TS BJP leaders said it was unbecoming on the part of Mr Chandrasekhar Rao as well as IT minister K T Rama Rao to accuse Prime Minister Modi of showing partiality and step-motherly attitude towards TS.
“We have verified their claims. It is utterly false and misleading. The Prime Minister was never invited to any function in TS, we are challenging K.T. Rama Rao to show any piece of evidence about extending a formal invite to Modi,” BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy said. He further said, “In fact, I contacted KCR’s family members at the time of his swearing-in as Chief Minister and asked them to invite Modi so that he could depute Rajnath Singh, but to my surprise they have said they are not interested in inviting Modi. This is their attitude.”
The BJP’s core committee members complained to Mr Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah that the TRS has been encouraging defections of elected representatives from the Opposition and its intentions were clear — to ensure there is no Opposition left in the state. They said that the TRS trying to bring the “communal” MIM to power in GHMC.
On a request from the party core committee leaders, the BJP president extended the time for completion of organisational polls to January 5, 2016 from December 31, 2015.
He also gave the green signal to the party’s TS unit to strike an alliance with the TD for the GHMC polls. In their meeting with Mr Venkaiah Naidu, the BJP leaders were told that the Centre was ready to provide as many houses as TS government proposes.
