Mumbai: After a long wait, the trailer of Sonam Kapoor’s much awaited film ‘Neerja’ is here and it will definitely leave you stunned.
Sonam will be seen playing brave heart Neerja Bhanot, a Pan Am flight attendant who sacrificed her life trying to save passengers when Pan Am Flight 73 was hijacked on September 5 1986.
Bhanot, the senior most flight attendant on board a Pan Am Mumbai-New York flight, was shot dead by terrorists, who hijacked the flight at Karachi in 1986, in her courageous bid to save the lives of passengers.
The 30-year-old star, Sonam chose to do the film because she felt young girls could imbibe the virtue of courage by watching the movie.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film also has veteran actress Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravijiani.
The film is all set to hit the theatres on February 19th, 2016.
