Water board nod to set up reservoirs
One of the reservoirs, costing Rs 5 crore, will have a capacity of 5 million litres.
Hyderabad: The Water Board has approved the construction of two storage reservoirs costing Rs 11.5 crore in the Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency. One of the reservoirs, costing Rs 5 crore, will have a capacity of 5 million litres and come up at Maisaram and the other will be built at Riyasathnagar at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore and having a capacity of 12 million litres.
When constructed, these reservoirs would improve the water pressure in the distribution network, and ensure a greater duration of reliable supply. The Riyasathnagar reservoir would benefit Rajnarasimhanagar, Moin Bagh, Rajiah Thota, Rakshapuram, Arundathinagar, Riyasathnagar and the market area, Habeebnagar, Jamal Colony, Roufnagar, Hydernagar, Indiranagar, Pisalbanda, Ghousenagar and Dargah Baranshah.
The Maisaram reservoir would serve the CRPF area, Keshavagiri, Barkas, Chandrayangutta, Hasheemabasti, Rajiv Gandhinagar, Indiranagar, Patelnagar, Farooqnagar, Bandlaguda, Zamal Bada, Harijan basthi and Dastagirinagar.
