Jagan Mohan Reddy lashes at Chandrababu Naidu for booking MLA

Eswari had said that tribals would behead Mr Naidu if he plundered the Agency areas for bauxite.
Hyderabad: Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday strongly criticised Chief Minister Naidu for booking an attempt-to-murder case against a tribal MLA for her anti-bauxite stand and for not appointing a tribal advisory committee. YSRC MLA G. Eswari had said that tribals would behead Mr Naidu if he plundered the Agency areas for bauxite.
For this the police booked a criminal case against her.
Mr Reddy recalled the comments of Mr Naidu regarding the death of his father YSR and said, “Two days before my father’s demise, Naidu had said that YSR would not come to the Assembly again. Does it mean that Naidu got him murdered.”
“In one instance, Naidu said that YSR had opposed him and that’s why he became a dove in Pavurallagutta. Does it mean Naidu got YSR murdered? Why was there no probe in this angle? Several times Naidu had warned opposition MLAs saying he will “see our end.” Why wasn’t an attempt to murder case booked against” asked Jagan Mohan Reddy.
YSRC MLA G. Eswari during an earlier anti bauxite rally had said that tribals would behead Mr Naidu if he plundered the Agency for bauxite. For this the police booked a criminal case against her. On Tuesday, Mr Reddy complained to Governor E.S. L. Narasimhan regarding booking cases against Opposition MLAs. He said that an MP and MLA in Tirupati airport had also been booked for standing by 19 passengers as airport officials had closed the counter half an hour before time. He dared the government to release the CCTV footage to reveal the truth behind what happened at the airport.
He added that the airport manager had apologized to the lawmakers but Mr Naidu had still forced a case against them. Regarding the ongoing bauxite mining, Mr Reddy demanded constitution of a tribal advisory committee as provided in Schedule 5 of the Constitution. ?Without forming this committee the government is taking major decisions which adversely affect the lively hood, customary and community rights of the tribal population in schedule areas, circumventing the constitutional guarantee provided to the rights of the tribal population,? he alleged.
