A constable molested her while she was sleeping in her hut.

Hyderabad: A vendor selling mirchi bajjis alleged that a constable molested her while she was sleeping in her hut in Hayath nagar area. She said that constable Devender entered her hut on Monday midnight and molested her. When she raised an alarm, neighbours rushed to her rescue. He was handed over to police.
The constable, T. Devender, 36, working at Chaitanyapuri police station is a resident of BDL colony. The victim and her husband and children are staying opposite BDL colony. On Monday her husband slept outside the hut, while the victim and her daughters slept in the hut. At around 11.30 pm, a man entered the hut and molested her. Her neighbours caught him. Later they came to know he was a constable.
They handed him over to Police. Based on a complaint from the victim’s husband, a case of Outraging the modesty of a woman( 354 of IPC) is registered and the constable is sent to remand. Police is investigating the case.
