House of horror: Seven-year-old murdered by father and step-mother, fed to pigs
Kansas City: In a bizarre and horrifying incident, a father and a step-mother were reportedly arrested on the charges of murdering their seven-year-old son and later feeding his remains to the pigs.
Heather Jones, 29, and Michael Jones, 44, have been detained on the charges of child abuse and first-degree murder of their seven-year-old son, Adrian Jones, according to a report in Daily Mail.
Michael has also been charged with assaulting his wife and threatening her. The police had also received a domestic violence call from the house on November 25 after Michael had allegedly shot his wife, Heather.
The couple was arrested after the police were notified that Adrian was missing. Following the arrests, authorities have rescued six girls from the house who were staying with the Jones.
The police have also recovered some traces of human remains in the barn of the house, which are assumed to be of Adrian, said Jerome A. Gorman, Wyandotte County District Attorney. Authorities say that the couple killed their child and later fed him to the pigs.
Jennifer Hoevers, the owner of the property, had rented out her house in Kansas City to Jones family. The house owner entered her house following the arrest of the couple and was shocked to see the mess around. The property was completely damaged from within. It had bullet holes on the walls, rotten food spread everywhere, back mold all over the house, dead mice, syringes and pornographic videos.
Hoevers said that she had rented out her house to the couple a year and a half ago as she found them to be ‘polite’ and ‘respectful’.
The house was trashed and there were fast food wrappers everywhere with rotten food strewn all over the place, Hoevers added.
Heather Jones’ father Jeff Coon said that his daughter had called him on Thanksgiving. Coon said that Heather told him that Michael had killed Adrian and the matter would be ‘all over the news’. Heather said that ‘he fed him to the pigs’, Coon told Kansas City Star.
Michael is being held on a $10million bond while Heather is being held on a $5 million bond.
