OnePlus 2 ‘Mini’ leak reveals 4.6-inch display with Snapdragon 810-processor
Mumbai: After launching a new smartphone last month, OnePlus is again in the spotlight after a new GFXBench report revealed that the company maybe working on a smaller variant of the OnePlus 2.
The benchmark tests revealed that the device will have a 4.6-inch HD display, which is fairly small in contrast to the company’s earlier handsets. Even the OnePlus X with its 5-inch display was a tad small for some users.
Although the device is rumoured to have a smaller display size, the specs of the device are fairly similar to that of the OnePlus 2. Making a mini version of a flagship handset has been common trend amongst many smartphone manufacturers and has been going for a long time.
However, if OnePlus comes out with a new ‘Mini’ it will garner a two-fold response. Firstly, launching another smaller variant based on a previous device can become monotonous, which may not be well received by the fans.
One the other side of the spectrum, there are users who like compact devices packed with a lot of potential, and the OnePlus 2 ‘Mini’ can become a favourite amongst them.
In terms of power, the OnePlus 2 ‘Mini’ is rumoured to feature 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Chipset, Adreno 430 GPU, and 4GB RAM.
The report also hints at a total storage capacity of 54GB. On the camera front, the device will sport a powerful 12MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Like the OnePlus 2, this device also excludes the NFC feature.
The Chinese manufacturer, however, has not made any comments on the new rumour. If the device sees the light of the day, it will definitely be one of the very few compact, powerful smartphones available in the market.
