Complaint against Traffic Ramaswamy for criticising Jayalalithaa

Aramugam from Vellore said in his complaint that action should be taken against the 82-year-old activist for disrespecting the CM.

Chennai: A member of the Puratchi Thalaivi Amma Peravai, an organisation affiliated with AIADMK, has filed a complaint against Traffic Ramaswamy for his controversial video rant about the shortcomings of Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa with regard to the recent floods in the city.

A. Aramugam from Vellore said in his complaint that action should be taken against the 82-year-old activist for disrespecting the CM and using foul language against her and the government.

In his video, Ramaswamy accused the CM of not taking effective steps to curb the number of deaths in the flood and also claimed that he had received a call from a volunteer in Bangalore about being forced to paste CM’s poster on all relief materials before distribution.

Defending the CM, Aramugam said in his complaint that it was only because of the government that many lives were saved during the floods also applauding the efforts of the government to alert residents to move away from the banks of the Adyar which prevented a lot of casualties. He has, therefore, demanded that Ramasamy face the consequences of his alleged false allegations and name-calling.
