Hyderabad: At least 60 sympathisers of the terror group Islamic State in Telangana, mostly in Hyderabad, are under the scanner of both state and Central intelligence agencies.
Police points out that sympathising with the terror group is different from participating in militant activities like in the case of the Maoists.
According to police sources, the IS sympathisers are active in chat rooms on social media. “The sympathisers were identified by surveillance by the IB and counter intelligence,” said an official.
