Five charred to death in Karimnagar as auto-rickshaw dashes with a car carrying petrol
Karimnagar: Five persons were burnt alive and six sustained injuries when an auto-rickshaw collided with a speeding car at a curve between Potyala and Somanpalli villages in Ramagundam mandal on Sunday.
The injured, who were shifted to different hospitals in Karimnagar city, were Mr Thippani Harish, Mr Bhairi Laxminarayana, Mr Rajaveni Rajender, Mr Aili Mohan and Mr Raju, all natives of Bellampalli town in Adilabad district.
Ramagundam inspector Narayana said that the five deceased were charred to death as the auto-rickshaw dashed into the car, which was carrying a petrol can, at a dangerous curve on the outskirts of the village.
The auto-rickshaw was going to Potyala from Ramagundam and the car was proceeding to Bellampalli from Kukkalaguduru village of Ramagundam. Both vehicles were reduced to ashes.
