Anna University students demand exams be put off
The examinations are scheduled from December 15 to 21.
Chennai: Nearly 300 first year students from various colleges affiliated to Anna University protested in front of the university in Guindy as their examinations have not been put off. The students claim that their textbooks got washed away in the flood and they don’t even have notes to prepare.The examinations are scheduled from December 15 to 21.
According to the students, the examination dates of colleges like Guindy Engineering , AC Tech and MIT, all operating under the aegis of Anna University, had been postponed to January.
Dinesh Kumar, a student, said, “We are holding this protest and if there is no change in the dates we are planning to boycott the examinations.” Another student Arvind Devaraj said all their textbooks had been washed away.
