Hyderabad: A couple distressed over the issue of marriage, one of them a degree-student, committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train at Alwal Railway station on Saturday. Sireesha, a second-year BCom student of Vandana Degree College at Venkatapuram and Narsing, a lift mechanic, did so at the height of an argument between them over delay in having their marriage. Narsing, 23, was a resident of Lothukunta and Sireesha, 20, a resident of Karkhana.
The two were in love for the past two years. Narsing lost his father Ramesh in his early childhood and mother Vijaya two years ago. “On Saturday morning, Narsing and Sireesha met near the railway station. The girl raised the topic of marriage and it led to an argument. Narsing told her to wait for a year more. As the argument progressed, both rushed to theRailway Station and jumped in front of a running passenger train,” police said.
