Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police helped yet another hardened criminal in his rehabilitation by setting up a tea stall for him at Uppal X roads. K . Veerabrahma Chary, accused of a murder in 2005, was also involved in more than 30 criminal cases across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka. Chary is a native of Warangal district. He discontinued his studies while doing SSC.
His father passed away in his childhood. As he had no income and dreamed of a lavish life, he along with his two other friends formed a Praja Pratighatana Naxalite team in 2004. Using the name of Maoists, they started an extortion racket targeting wealthy people. In 2012, he was arrested in a murder case in Hayathnagar area. He was sentenced to five years RI. After release from
prison in September 2015, he approached Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and expressed his desire to lead a normal life. The tea stall set up at Uppal X roads was inaugurated by Deputy Comissioner of Police Crimes Dr Naveen Kumar on Saturday.
