Opposition leader gets threatening call
Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Friday received an anonymous call threatening to kill him.
Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Friday received an anonymous call threatening to kill him if he does not stop criticising Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. Shabbir Ali received the call at 5.42pm from landline number 040-69542335.
The caller used abusive and filthy language against him and threatened to eliminate him. “As the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, I have been criticising the TRS government and CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his policies. However, I've been receiving these types of threatening calls quite often. Today's call was serious in nature,” Shabbir Ali said in his petition to the Jubilee Hills Police Station. According to sources, the number belongs to a public coin box.
