I know Jacob’s secrets: TP Senkumar

Mr Senkumar denied the charge and said he should understand the restrictions put on the police.
KOLLAM: State police chief T.P. Senkumar on Thursday lashed out at DGP Jacob Thomas and said that one should conduct a self-analysis before putting the blame on others.
“I know many things about Jacob Thomas that are not known to many and that is why I am criticising his utterances against the government. He preaches things that he never practises. It is not right to take the view that law is not applicable to all,” Mr. Senkumar said here on Thursday.
Referring to Mr Jacob Thomas’s statement that one who points out corruption is isolated, Mr Senkumar denied the charge and said he should understand the restrictions put on the police.
“His view that he would express things and act in the manner he liked is not right,” Mr Senkumar added.
“Instead of spitting out rubbish, one should learn how to do one’s duty. I worked in departments other than police for several years. I never criticised the ministers even when I faced hardships. We should serve the public by doing our duty,” Mr. Senkumar said.
The two officers had indulged in a war of words after Mr Jacob Thomas criticized the government following the High Court verdict in the bar bribery case.
