LeT ultra taken to Bengaluru

Hyderaba: Lashkar-e-Toiba operative Abu Sufiyan alias Asadullah Khan of Hyderabad, who was deported from Saudi Arabia, has been arrested and shifted to Bengaluru by the NIA. He was involved in a conspiracy to carry out terror acts in Bengaluru. DC had reported earlier that Saudi authorities had detained him two weeks ago. TS counter intelligence officials are now preparing to interrogate the suspect.
Asadullah Khan was arrested at the Mumbai airport in connection with a case registered by NIA Hyderabad pertaining to a LeT conspiracy in Bengaluru. NIA produced the accused in court in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Abu Sufiyan, 57, son of Majedullah Khan, lived at First Lancer Road, Masab Tank in Hyderabad. NIA says he played a key role in the criminal conspiracy to kill prominent religious persons, journalists, police officials in Bengaluru and Hubli.
Khan had dropped out of B.Com final year from Shadan College, Hyderabad and shifted to Riyadh in January 1985. He worked in RADO Watch Co., Al Ghazali and of late had been running Shaizwan Saffron Flavor Restaurant in Riyadh. "Since 2002, he was closely associated with Hyderabadi absconding accused Farhatullah Ghori, Abdul Bari alias Abu Hamza, Abdullah Masood alias Abu Saad, Siddique Bin Oman alias Abu Hanzala and others. He played an active role in recruiting youths from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra as part of a conspiracy to eliminate pro-Hindu activists and police officials involved in anti-terror operations in Bengaluru, Hubli, Nanded and Hyderabad in August 2012," said a source.
As per the information provided by Telangana Police, he was deported to India on December 8.
