Chennai: iD Fresh Foods, a ready-to-cook packaged food startup, on Wednesday announced that it would slash prices of idly and dosa batter by 50 per cent from December 13 to 18 keeping the current scenario and the affected people in mind.
“Over 12 tonnes of idly and dosa batter are being supplied to Chennai daily. This amount is enough to make around 2.6 lakh Idlis,” the company release said, adding that to avoid hoarding by unscrupulous individuals, iD is distributing only one packet at a time.
“We are confident that this initiative from iD Foods would further help the Chennaiites and consume their foods at an affordable price with 100 per cent hygiene factor,” he said.
