Chennai: The ISL management has decided to shift the first leg of the semi-final between Chennaiyin FC and Ateltico de Kolkata on Saturday from Chennai’s Nehru Stadium to Pune’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Stadium.
According to a press release from the ISL, the decision was taken after evaluating all possibilities for Chennai, which has been recovering from devastating floods, to host the match. It added that the decision was particularly difficult as Chennaiyin FC’s fans have displayed immense passion and fortitude to support their club through thick and thin this season but the move was inevitable.
