Congress has 'Modi phobia', says BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi
New Delhi: Government on Wednesday attacked Rahul Gandhi for alleging "100 per cent political vendetta coming out of PMO" in the National Herald court case, saying the Congress leadership has "Modi phobia" and "anything happening on the earth is being linked" to the Prime Minister.
As Rajya Sabha lost the second day to the Congress protests, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the main opposition party was stalling Parliament as it has still not been able to "digest" the crushing defeat it suffered in the Lok Sabha elections last year.
"They (Congress) have Modi phobia, anything happening on the earth is being linked to him even if their leaders catch cold, they will blame it on Modi," Naqvi said while commenting on Rahul Gandhi's remarks.
The Congress Vice President earlier had said that the National Herald court case was "One hundred per cent political vendetta. Pure political vendetta coming out of PMO. It is their way of doing politics. Pure 100 per cent vendetta."
Contending that Herald case was purely a legal issue, Naqvi said the Congress was "threatening the judiciary" by creating the uproar. "Congress leadership has a feudal mindset," the minister alleged.
