Heckled: Pawan Kalyan’s fans disrupt Prabhas’ speech
Months after the face-off between Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan fans in Bhimavaram — which triggered riots across the region — the tussle seems to have arrived in Hyderabad.
On Monday, Prabhas attended the audio release event of Varun Tej’s (Pawan Kalyan’s nephew) Loafer. Fans of both stars (Prabhas and PK) attended the function and soon the mob started raising their voice in support of their respective stars.
And when Prabhas was about to talk, Pawan’s fans started an all-out ruckus. “So, you don’t want me to talk? Then I will go…” said Prabhas and made as if to leave. He, however, started his speech but a few minutes into it, PK’s fans started shouting again. “Fine, I like the Power Star. Can I talk now?” said an exasperated Prabhas before continuing his speech. An irked Prabhas added, “Varun will also become a big hero like (PK). If you (fans) support him it will happen quickly.”
And when his turn came, Varun Tej maintained he was a fan of Prabhas. “Not recently, but since Prabhas’ film Eswar I have been his fan,” said Varun. Pawan Kalyan’s fans are increasingly becoming a nuisance for all names linked to the Chiranjeevi family. This time it was Prabhas’ turn to be upset with them but the fans have been a constant source of humiliation, earlier too.
Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagababu, too, had been upset with the fans during Chiranjeevi’s 60th birthday celebrations and had asked them to shut up. Even director Ram Gopal Varma had take to Twitter — the director called PK fans “illiterate”.
