After back-to-back Sandalwood projects where the sons of a few noted politicians in the state were launched, the big one came along — Nikhil Gowda, son of former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy! He is all set to make his acting debut. The news that Nikhil Gowda (who recently got engaged to Swathi, the daughter of KCN Mohan, a well-known film producer), was making the rounds for over a year, the official announcement was made in June by his father Kumaraswamy, who is producing the film under his home banner Chennambika Movies. The movie titled Jaguar will be made simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu.
KV Vijayendra Prasad, the father of popular Tollywood director SS Rajamouli, has written the script and Mahadev, a close associate of Prasad is set to direct the movie. With an estimated budget of around Rs 15 crore, the movie was earlier set to go on floors from August 2, this year. The muhurat for Jaguar is fixed finally. The film is set to go on the floors with a grand function coinciding with the birthday of his father Kumaraswamy on December 16 at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. Apart from political bigwigs, veteran artiste B Sarojadevi, Leelavathi, Jayanthi, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, popular actors V. Ravichandran, Shivarajkumar and many others will witness the Jaguar’s maiden run!
