Exclusive: What you said back then, still hurts: Salman tells Shah Rukh
Mumbai: Mehboob Studio was brimming with excitement and anticipation on Tuesday evening, as it waited to welcome Salman and Shah Rukh Khan to shoot a special promo for an episode of Bigg Boss. Building on their newly-established camaraderie, SRK is going to appear on an episode of the show to promote his upcoming film. And as all things King Khan, it’s going to be grand, thus calling for a special promo shoot for the episode.
Says an eyewitness, “For the first 90 minutes, Shah Rukh and Salman Khan were sitting outside a vanity van and were involved in a long discussion. It was not just work they spoke of, but casually caught up as long lost friends. In between, some senior member from the show walked in and discussed the creative of the shoot. Later they both left to get ready.” SRK will visit the Bigg Boss set in Karjat later this month to properly promote his film.
For the longest time, having Salman and Shah Rukh under one roof spelt tension for their mutual friends. The friction goes back to the time when the two had a public spat at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in 2008. Two years ago, the two patched up at a dinner party hosted by mutual friend and politician Baba Siddiqui and there has been no looking back since.
Letting us in on the shoot, the source added, “The spat they had years ago was in full public view, so it’s something that everyone knows about. They made a subtle reference to it in the shoot. SRK said, ‘Main tujhse naraz hoon; (I’m upset with you) to which Salman added, “Abhi bhi dil mein kuch baatein chubhti hai’ (somethings still hurt as bad) referring to the exchange during the fight. The two were spontaneous when they said these things and to make it more dramatic, the production guys added the famous dialogue ‘Mere Karan Arjun ayenge’ as the two walked in.” Also thrown in was a Jay-Veeru style bike with a side car.
Trust Bigg Boss to cash in on real life drama for the reel.
