Anantapur: Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy said that 17 of the 24 allocations for Kurnool's development, announced by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the Independence Day celebrations, had been cleared and the remaining seven would also materialise soon.
Mr Krishna Murthy and endowment minister Manikyala Rao visited Mahanandi in Kurnool district on the occasion of the last Monday of Karthika masam when they inaugurated several developments at Mahanandeeswara Swamy temple in Mahanandi.
Speaking to the media at Nandyal, Mr Krishna Murthy said that the Chief Minister was giving priority to the innovative development of Kurnool city and district.
"Kurnool city will be developed as a smart city with State funds and the urban development authority, the Kurnool-Dhone-Nandyal roads are getting connected," he said.

While announcing the successful implementation of "Mee Intiki Mee Bhoomi" scheme, the Deputy Chief Minister observed that most of the land-related issues had been resolved.
Manikyala Rao announced that an IAS officer would be posted as executive officer to Srisailam to monitor facilities since there was a rush of devotees visiting the plentiful temples in Kurnool district.
He said a temple circuit would be developed at Kurnool that would connect the temples of Mantralayam, Mahanandi, Srisailam, Brahmamgari Matam and others.
