Cabinet, IAS committees to meet on December 16

Assembly Winter Session to be held from December 17 to December 23
Hyderabad: A crucial joint meeting of the Cabinet sub- committee and IAS officers committee will be held on December 16 at Vijayawada prior to the Cabinet meeting scheduled on the same day to discuss the shifting of the administration to the capital region and the issues raised by employees. Andhra Pradesh State Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao will also attend the meeting.
The Cabinet sub-committee, headed by finance minister Yanamala Ramakrish-nudu, has as members agriculture minister Prattipati Pulla Rao, irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheswar Rao and municipal administration minister P. Narayana.
The IAS officers committee comprises B. Sam Bob, K.S. Jawahar Reddy, Hema Munivenkatappa, Luv Agarwal and K. Kannababu.
The Secretariat employees have asked the government to find them official and residential accommodation in the capital region.
The government told the heads of departments (HoDs) that they would have to look out for both on their own and several of them are doing as instructed.
But the secretariat employees have left this task to the government as it is not possible for them to go on a search of this kind.
The joint committee of the Cabinet sub-committee and IAS officers committee will discuss this issue in the presence of the Chief Secretary.
The Cabinet meeting will be held at Vijayawada the same evening. The AP Assembly Winter Session will begin in Hyderabad the next day, December 17 and go on till December 23.
The Collectors' Conference will be held at Vijayawada on December 14 and 15.
