Amaravati to have road network facility first
Guntur: In the new capital Amaravati, roads would be the first facility provided among others, said MP Galla Jayadev. He conducted a brainstorming session for three hours with the CRDA officials and Singapore company members recently. He said that construction of roads would pave the way for all other facilities. “It will become easier to take up works relating to other facilities like water pipes, gas pipes, electricity and cable network, if roads are laid,” he pointed out.
He observed that once the construction of road networks is completed, then the construction of buildings and rail network would also be easy. The MP said the government had already laid some roads during the foundation stone ceremony. He said that widening of the existing roads and laying of the new roads would be taken up simultaneously.
The road from the Chief Minister’s residence to Uddandara-yunipalem on Krishna Karakatta has been made two-way. The road connecting Uddan-darayunipalem to Vela-gapudi is already 100-feet wide and it was laid during the foundation stone ceremony. The road works between Uddanda-rayunipalem to Amara-vati, Tadikonda, Undava-lli and other villages have also been completed.
On Monday, Tadepalli MRO M.P. Venkateswarlu inspected all internal roads at Undavalli and Penumaka villages. The existing roads at these villages will be extended soon.
Meanwhile, recently, Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari announced '20,000 crore for road network to Amaravati capital from different parts of the state. A strong road network in the new state will pave the way for development in all fronts as it is very important, officials said.
