Hyderabad: The appointment of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan as brand ambassador of the AP medical and health department has remained on paper as the state government has not issued any orders even after 11 months of the announcement.
After meeting Mr Bachchan, AP health minister Kamineni Srinivas had on January 6 announced that the superstar would be the brand ambassador for the department.
The minister said that Mr Bachchan had agreed to be the ambassador without taking any remuneration. “Amitabh Bachchan has agreed to be our brand ambassador. Which areas he will promote will be decided later,” he had said.
But almost a year down the line, the government has not issued any orders to this effect. At present, the actor is the brand ambassador for the Gujarat tourism department apart from other causes.
