Acchukattu police registered a case of murder against Suresh under Section 302 of IPC
Bengaluru: A 23-year-old goods autorickshaw driver was clubbed to death by his friends during a drunken brawl in Channammanakere Acchukattu on Friday. The police arrested the accused on Sunday.
The deceased, Avinash, a resident of Hoskerehalli, was working as a goods auto driver at a tent house that rents out decoration material for functions. The accused, Suresh, who was on the run, was arrested on Sunday. Suresh was also said to be working with Avinash at the tent house. On Friday, Avinash and Suresh went out for a drink, but got into a brawl over a petty issue. In the heat of the moment, Suresh allegedly grabbed an iron rod and hit Avinash on the head. Neighbours, who heard loud cries of Avinash, rushed him to Victoria hospital where he died on Friday.
The Chanammanakere Acchukattu police registered a case of murder against Suresh under Section 302 of IPC and have remanded him to judicial custody.
