New seashore road sought for Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada: Expressing satisfaction over approvals for road projects for AP state, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu requested the union minister for surface transport and national highways Nitin Gadkari to allot two important roads from Amaravati capital city to Bengaluru towards Rayalaseema districts and another one for Tada to Itchapuram on seashore.
Participating in the foundation stone ceremony for Amaravati capital city, he said that the two roads would play an important role in the state development. Rayalaseema people could reach Amaravati capital in four hours with the construction of the new highway, he added.
Similarly, the coast lane road would boost tourism and also investments. The Chief Minister also requested the union minister to complete all the announced projects in stipulated three years time. He said that the flyover works at Durga temple would be completed by Krishna Pushkaralu in August next.
Mr Naidu said that Vijayawada city would also be developed into an international city. He reiterated that the people also must support developments, especially cost of living should be controlled
But house owners should support the government by reducing rents, he said and added that the employees who want to shift from Hyderabad also fear about the city rents. Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, M. Venkaiah Naidu, Y. Sujana Chowdary, ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and several MLAs and officials were also present.
