Hyderabad: A 14-month-old girl who was playing in front of her house was mowed down by a school bus on Saturday that had come to take her two elder brothers to school. Kausalya died on the spot. The incident happened in Medak district.
Police said that Ramesh and Lalitha, a farmer couple has two sons and a daughter. Their sons are studying at MNR High School in Sangareddy.
On Saturday at around 8.45 am the school bus came to pick the kids. Ramesh and Lalitha were busy with household work and the two kids came out to board the bus. “After they boarded the bus the driver started the bus without noticing Kausalya. Kausalya came under the rear left tyre of the bus and died on the spot,” said Sangareddy inspector S. Venkatesh.
Based on a complaint from her father Ramesh a case under Section 304 (a) was registered against bus driver Rafeeq. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
