Raipur: A sweeper of a state government-run primary school in a Chhattisgarh village allegedly raped a Class two girl student after luring her into a room with a chocolate. The shocking incident occurred in the village of Siryobhata in Balod district, police said.
Although, the incident took place on November 28, it came to light on Saturday when parents of the alleged victim gathered courage to file an FIR in the local police station ignoring alleged threats from some influential people in the village not to approach the police. According to the FIR filed in the Gunderdehi police station, the accused, Dinesh Thakur, confined the 8-year-old into a room in the school and allegedly raped her by gagging her mouth with a towel.
