Sing a song for the jailbirds! Dr G Parameshwar does it

The inmates all between 25 to 35 years of age are being trained by musicians P. S Murthy and Ganesh
Mysuru: KPCC president and Home Minister Mr G Parameshwar turned a singer even if it was for a few minutes during an orchestra programme at the Central Jail here on Friday.
It was a joyful moment for members of Parivarthan band formed by inmates of the jail when Dr Parameshwar in an impromptu move, joined them and sang a song along with them.
His advisor, Mr Kempaiah, ADGP Prisons, Mr Kamal Pant and Mysuru Police Commissioner Mr Dayanand who were present at the event, were elated.
The happiest of them all was singer Mahesh an inmate, as the minister sang the Kannada song “Karunaada Thaayi Sada Chinmayi,” from a Sandalwood movie and even hugged him.
Parivarthan is a band of jail inmates with a team of 13 members formed three years ago, as one of the many measures taken to transform the inmates when Mr Gagandeep was ADGP Prisons.
The inmates all between 25 to 35 years of age are being trained by musicians P. S Murthy and Ganesh. They have performed during Dasara 2013 and 2014 and also during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
