She Autos launched by CM Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada

He complimented the people’s wish for society.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Friday called upon women to run the she autos as a role model for the country. Distributing the “She Autos’ for 49 Dwacra women at his camp office here, Mr Naidu said that the autorickshaws for women were introduced for the first time in the country.

He said that the women should go forward in all the fields and the government would extend its cooperation to them. He recalled that women stood as a model in the country by forming self-groups for the first time in the country.

Now they would create new history by successfully organising the autorickshaws, he added. He hoped that the women would get empowerment by using government cooperation. The autos would bring happiness to all the families of the women, he said. He complimented the people’s wish for society, Garapati Cossmil Society and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation for providing training for women in autorickshaw driving.

Punjab National Bank assistant general manager A. Udayabhaskar Reddy said that they have released Rs 79.38 lakh for women autos in the city. They would provide loans for She Autos for other municipalities and cities also, he added.

Municipal commissioner G. Veerapandyan said that the three CNG bunks should be provided for present needs and they would take action in this front. Minister Kamineni Srinivas, mayor Koneru Sridhar, MLAs Gadde Rammohan, Bode Prasad and several officials were also present.
