Complaint against Telangana MRPS president

Mr Medi Papayya, the working president of MRPS had demanded Rs 4 lakh

Hyderabad: The Save Hyderabad People Organisation lodged a complaint with the Madannapet police against Telangana Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) working president Papayya, alleging that he was threatening them using the names of home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and central zone DCP Kamalasan Reddy. Mr M Johnson, the president of the forum, filed the complaint on Friday. Mr Johnson, in his complaint, said that Mr Medi Papayya, the working president of MRPS had demanded Rs 4 lakh from him and when he refused he had threatened him.

“He threatened me by using the names of Home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and central zone DCP Kamalasan Reddy. He said they were very close to him,” said Mr Johnson. However, no case was registered in this regard.

“We are investigating the details. Based on facts we will take action,” said Madannapet inspector K.P.V. Raju. Mr Papayya was unavailable for comment.
