Andhra Pradesh cuts water flow in Chittoor
Tamil Nadu asked Mr Krishna Rao to check the possibility of reducing the outflow from Pichatur
Hyderabad: On the request of the Tamil Nadu government, the state has reduced the release of water from Pichatur and other dams in Chittoor district. On the instructions of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao on Thursday spoke to to his Tamil Nadu counterpart and offered all necessary assistance.
The Tamil Nadu government asked Mr Krishna Rao to check the possibility of reducing the outflow from Pichatur and other dams in Chittoor district which could flood Thiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu. Mr Krishna Rao told Deccan Chronicle that the government had reduced release of water from the AP dams.
