Telangana: Graduate held for chains theft

Police said Raju had committed 12 offences and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh from him
Hyderabad:A 24-year-old BSc graduate, who was inspired to become a chain-snatcher by crime news reports, was arrested by the Cyberabad police in Vansthalipuram.
Police said C. Murali-krishna Raju of Repalle mandal in Guntur district, had started targeting women in Vanastha-lipuram and Meerpet si-nce November last year.
Police said Raju had committed 12 offences and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 7 lakh from him.
“Our team from Vanasthalipuram police station caught him while he was moving under suspicious circumstances at NGO’s Colony. He confessed to have committed the offences,”said LB Nagar DCP Tafseer Iqubal.
