The Hyderabad international airport has cancelled 10 flights to Chennai
Hyderabad: The torrential rains lashing Chennai have led to the cancellation of flights and train services from Hyderabad to Chennai on Wednesday.
The Hyderabad international airport has cancelled 10 flights to Chennai. The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the cancellation and diversion of trains on the Chennai-Gudur section due to dangerous levels of floodwater on railway bridges.
All flights to Chennai from Hyderabad international airport have been cancelled and they will not be operated for the next two days due to the closure of the Chennai airport.
Flights from Hyderabad to Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Coimbatore and Kochi have also been cancelled due to rains.
Meanwhile, 22 trains have been cancelled, two partially cancelled, one rescheduled and nine services diverted on the Chennai-Gudur section, according to a note from SCR.
The cancelled trains that were scheduled to depart on December 2 are: Train No: 12604 Hyderabad-Chennai Cent-ral Express from Hydera-bad, Train No: 12760 Hyde-rabad-Chennai Central Charminar Express from Hyderabad, Train No: 17652 Kacheguda-Chennai Egm-ore Express from Kache-guda, Train No: 12759 Chennai Central-Hyderabad Charminar Express from Chennai Central, Train No: 17651 Chennai Egmore-Kacheguda Express from Chennai Egmore, Train No: 12603 Chennai Central-Hyderabad Express from Chennai Central.
