No politics in varsities please: Deputy CM Mahmood Ali
He said it was unfortunate that students were wasting their energies on such unnecessary matters
Hyderabad: Joining with the controversy over the “beef festival” in Osmania University Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali on Wednesday said that universities were meant for studies, not politics.
Interacting with the media on the controversy, he took serious exception to the controversy, and said that people have every right to eat the food of their choice.
“If anyone wants to eat beef or pork, they can consume it at their homes or at family functions, but not at the University,” Mr Mahmood Ali said.
He said it was unfortunate that students were wasting their energies on such unnecessary matters instead of studies.
