Bihar deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav donates first salary to Tamil Nadu flood victims

The minister made the announcement through a Twitter message

Patna: Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav has decided to donate his first salary for flood victims of Tamil Nadu. The minister made the announcement via Twitter on Wednesday as he wrote, “On humanitarian grounds I have decided to donate my first month salary to relief fund for Chennai flood victims”.

According to party leaders the decision was taken by Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD Chief Lalu Yadav urged people to come forward and extend help and support to flood victims of Tamil Nadu.

Nitish Kumar earlier on Wednesday had made a statement on Twitter saying, “Concerned to hear of incessant rains and flooding in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected and their loved ones. Bihar stands by the people of Tamil Nadu in this time of crisis.”

Adding to this while raising concerns over the torrential rains in Tamil Nadu and swelling water level, RJD Chief Lalu Yadav appealed the masses asking them to extend support to the victims. Lalu Yadav through a twitter message said “everyone should extend helping hands to affected people. Please ensure all sort of possible help form your end”.
