Bengaluru: Man held for sexually abusing two minor girls
Bengaluru: The city police have arrested a private company employee for sexually abusing two minor girls at his house by offering them snacks in Mallasandra under Peenya police station limits on Monday. The minor girls aged 10 and 7, both cousins, were neighbours of the accused, identified as Murthy (25), police said.
The incident came to light on Sunday after the two girls narrated the ordeal to their respective parents. While the girls were playing outside their houses, Murthy invited them to his house under the pretext of offering biscuits. After the girls entered his house, Murthy told them that they would watch a movie on the TV and locked the doors of the house. His wife had gone for work.
While one girl was watching the TV, Murthy sexually abused the younger one by stripping her and touching her inappropriately. He later sexually abused the elder girl too and even undressed before them, said the police. The accused also asked the minors not to reveal anything about the incident to anybody, after giving the girls Rs 20 each, added the police.
As the parents of the girls had gone for work, only their grandmother was present at the house. The grandmother and the parents who got to learn about the incident later confronted Murthy’s wife and explained her everything. Later they lodged a complaint at the Peenya police station.
The cops swung into action and arrested the accused. The accused and the victims were subjected to medical examination. Murthy has been booked under several sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and molestation under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and has been remanded in judicial custody, police said.
