Amitabh Bachchan tries his hand at the piano while shooting for 'Te3n'

He may not have learnt music formally, but has often mentioned his desire to learn it
Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan may not have learnt music formally, but he grew up listening to his father Harivanshrai Bachchan's music. He even composed for his own poems, including the tune of the famous Madhushala that we all so love. On several occasions, he has mentioned that he wants to learn how to play a piano, sitar and sarod. So it was not surprising when Vidya Balan posted this picture of Amitabh trying his hand on piano.
Vidya shared a beautiful picture where Amitabh is deeply engrossed while playing the instument and the crowd is attentively listening to him. She captioned the picture as, "Mr.Bachchan playing the Charulata theme on the piano at St.Paul's Cathedral."
Recently, Amitabh had posted few pictures of his granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and said that he is impressed to see the youngster play the piano with such finesse. He had also written, “That piano is the little space in my small little room.. a space that I occupy on occasion.. spend time with keys black and white.. life is made of just these two they say.. but there are so many other colours too.. and they bring joy and a brightness in us as well.”
On work front, Amitabh is currently shooting for 'Te3n' with Vidya and Nawazuddin Siddhiqui in Kolkata. The project is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Sujoy Ghosh.
