Mumbai: Kokata-based innerwear major Lux Industries has listed its shares on the National Stock Exchange on Tuesday. The share were listed at Rs 3,342.05 and within minutes, they hit the upper circuit at Rs 3509.15.
Lux Industries is one of the fastest growing innerwear manufacturers in the country, reporting a compounded annual revenue growth of 22 per cent in the past five years as against single-digit growth in the textile sector. It has reported a turnover of Rs 909 crore in 2014-15.
The promoters hold 75 per cent in the company, with the rest being held by corporate bodies and the public. According to a release, the company, which was founded in 1957, manufactures more than 100 products across 12 major brands. It has over five lakh retailers and is present in more than 45 countries. Exports account for 13 per cent of its revenues in 2014-15. The company’s aggregate manufacturing capacity stands at 10 lakh garments per day across more than 11 manufacturing facilities spread across the country.
