Karuna-Nidhi after Jai Lalitha!

First these film makers played a publicity “gimmick” with the title, then they ignored the general buzz, later fought it out and eventually after all the cheap publicity, they finally changed it! Despite a series of recent controversies over the title of innumerable movies, AG Sheshadri, who rose to stardom in the small screen directing several Kannada TV serials, is all set to make his big screen debut with another controversially titled film — Karuna-Nidhi! The movie starring Mohan in the lead role, sources claim, has nothing to do with the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi.

According to the explanation, Karuna is a subject and Nidhi refers to treasure hunt, and both have a connection that leads to a suspense thriller. The two words separated by a hyphen, have already raised eyebrows in the industry, following past incidents of another such gimmicky titled Smt Jayalalitha, which led to the makers changing it to Jai Lalitha due to protests. Will this hyphen save the day for this treasure hunt, we wait with baited breath!
