Watch: Here's what went into the making of Priyanka-Deepika's 'Pinga'

The song is a Marathi folk song infused with classical elements
Mumbai: Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are supposed to be arch-nemeses in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Bajirao Mastani'. But they are far from being cold to each other 'much to Sanjay sir's disappointment'. The song that is a Marathi folk song infused with classical elements is nothing short of grandeur, elegance and royalty.
It has Priyanka Chopra as Kashi Bai welcoming Deepika Padukone’s Mastani to the Bajirao household.
Dressed in the traditional Marathi silk saree, with traditional necklace called Kolhapuri Saj, a khopa hairdo and clinking green bangles, both ladies are the prefect images of married Maharastrian women.
Talking about what went into the making of 'Pinga', Priyanka said, "It was a very difficult song, it was hard on your feet and it was very exhausting but we laughed through it as we had each other’s company. I think that’s what made it a lot more easier and a lot fun." To which
Deepika added, "Knowning that she is there for me emotionally and I am there for her, it made the process of shooting this song a lot more easier."

Pinga' was shot over a period of 12 days in Mumbai. Remo D’souza, who is best known for his western dance style ventured out of his comfort zone for this song. The last time SLB had two ladies competing on the dance floor was in his film 'Devdas', 13 years ago where Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan danced to ‘Dola Re’.
