Bengaluru, Hyderabad women-led startups win prizes
Hyderabad: MATH Adventures from Bengaluru and Edgefx Technologies from Hyderabad were the two women-led startups among the total 10 pitches made at the just-concluded Angels Summit, which were identified as 'innovative projects'. The two startups received Rs one lakh cheque each, Sita Pallacholla, founder & CEO of The Angel Hub, organiser of the summit, said.
Vidya Jayaraman, Founder of Math Adventures, and Kamini Gupta, Chief Executive Officer & Strategist of Edgefx, received the prize amount, Pallacholla said in a statement. The women-led founder startups from different parts of the country, including Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad, which pitched at the summit were - YourDost, ONganic Foods, rideIT, LearnMor, GreenArt/Lux Packing, Edgefx Technologies, Cleanse High, Woman safety, Math Adventures, and ReviewOwner.
Math Adventures' Math master programme is helping over 8000 students in Bengaluru learn Maths in an experiential way, at their own pace, in a fun and stress-free environment, according to the statement. It is backed with 16 years of experience with school children.
"Math Master has developed unique and fun activities keeping in mind doubts, misconceptions, fears and difficulties faced by students. It effectively addresses all the challenges faced by teachers and provides innovative ideas to communicate each concept to all types of students," it said.
Edgefx is an innovative company that provides the DIY (Do It Yourself) project solutions to Engineering students in the areas of embedded, electrical, electronics, communication and robotics, among others, it added. Edgefx currently stocks more than 600 projects in different formats across numerous categories.
