Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to visit India again in December
Mumbai: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will be visiting India again in December, as he plans visit his hometown Hyderabad, according to several media reports. However, the date of arrival and additional details have not yet been disclosed.
It is speculated that the Microsoft CEO is likely to meet Telegana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers K. Chandrashekhar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu. Apart from this, he is also expected to visit the Microsoft India Development Centre in the city.
This will be Nadella’s second visit to his hometown after taking over as Microsoft CEO last year. He was also invited by Telengana Information technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao during his visit to the US this year.
Microsoft has a lot of plans lined up to expand its services in India. During his visit to Mumbai this month, Nadella revealed plans to help the Maharashtra Government build the first smart village in the state. In his keynote, he also elucidated on the company's plans to incorporate modern technology to assist the growth of start-ups and businesses in India.
The upcoming visit might also be an indication towards escalating its operation in both Telengana and Andhra Pradesh. Microsoft’s Hyderabad research and development center is the company’s largest outside the Redmond Facility.
