MP proposes cultural heritage of 13 districts in master plan

Guntur: A new proposal was proposed by Guntur Lok Sabha member and member in CRDA seed capital master plan Galla Jayadev, that deals with the characteristics and culture of the 27 townships of the new capital Amaravati.

He proposed that 13 townships should be constructed to represent the culture and heritage of 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh from Srikakulam to Chittoor. He suggested that at least seven townships should be constructed to replicate the characteristics of the metropolitan cities of our country including Hyderabad, Chen-nai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and others.

Speaking to DC, he also suggested that four townships of the capital should be constructed like that of Singapore, Shangai, Tokyo and London.

He observed that Amaravati is the next generation city and should be able to attract investments and people from all over the world. Each township out of the 27 of the Seed Capital area would be built on 1,000 acres of land. He said that every township would be sustainable with all basic facilities. He elaborated that each township would be constructed in a self sustained manner with primary school, high school, junior college, hospital, park and other infrastructure. The city is going to be constructed with an aim that it would accommodate more than two million population within 10 years span of time, he added.
